The stock market slipped again on Tuesday after President Donald Trump insisted tariffs on the bulk of U.S. trading partners will actually kick in on Aug. 1.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 166 points, or 0.4%. The S&P 500 was down 0.1%. The Nasdaq Composite was up slightly.
The yield on the 2-year Treasury note rose to 3.91%. The 10-year yield rose to 4.42%.
